According to LEGO Worlds’ official description at the Microsoft store, players will be able to create anything they can imagine one brick at a time. The game also features interesting exploration options such as helictopers, dragons and gorillas. LEGO Worlds will be one of the many LEGO games available for Xbox One, with previously released titles covering popular franchises such as The Avengers, Star Wars, and Batman. The release date for LEGO Worlds is set for the 14th of March 2017 across Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and PlayStation 4. A release date for the upcoming Nintendo Switch has yet to be revealed.
Minecraft’s upcoming rival
LEGO announced LEGO Worlds back in November 2016 and since then the game has been viewed as Minecraft’s direct rival. Mojang released its sandbox video game in November 2011 and Minecraft is considered of the greatest world-building video games in history. Microsoft released Minecraft: Xbox One Edition on 5 September 2014, bringing Minecraft’s world-building experience to its console. It currently has a 3.9 out of 5 rating at the Microsoft Store and recently received a huge update (Content Update 38), which brought several changes such as bugfixes and 18 new achievements.
